Quality

Quality is the degree to which a thing conforms to its Ideal — excellence, read on the gradient.

In the LIØNSBERG System, Quality is never cosmetic and never optional: Work that lacks Quality is not neutral — it is harmful Waste (11.84 Work That Lacks Quality is not Neutral - It is Harmful Waste). A low-quality part fails the whole that depends on it; a low-quality promise breaks the Trust built on it; low-quality understanding misleads everyone who inherits it. In an interexistent world, quality is a form of Love and its absence a form of harm.

Quality therefore enters at the beginning, not the end: in Integrated Delivery it is a design criterion — defined with the Conditions of Satisfaction before work starts, validated by the Teams who perform the work, and protected structurally so that no pressure of cost or schedule quietly trades it away. The one who will live with the work helps define what good means.

And Quality is fractal: the quality of intention, of analysis, of engagement, of expression are each continuously improved — the Current Best Understanding discipline applied to everything one makes and is. The Sacred Ascent itself can be read as the lifelong raising of the quality of a being (The Living Gradient · Conformance To The Ideal).

The floor is honest sufficiency; the ceiling does not exist.
