Player Card Template
Copy this file to take your stand: The Commons/Players/<Your Name>.md. Players stand openly, by the name they are truly known by — legal, chosen, or craft. One name, one card; if yours is already standing, the stewards add your place: John Smith (Boise). Standing together is how the Game becomes visible to All.
# <Your Name>
place:: <where in the world you play — as coarse as you like>
region:: <for the directory: your country or region, at the granularity you consent to>
pledged:: <the season of your current Pledge — e.g. 2026 · Season 1>
flame:: [[<the one who FIRST passed you the flame — written once, never changed>]]
sponsor:: [[<the one currently walking beside you — begins as your flame-passer, may shift>]]
circle:: [[<your Circle>]] (when it forms or you join one)
groups:: [[<the Groups you belong to — real when written on both cards>]]
gifts:: <the capacities and crafts you bring>
state:: arriving | gathering | playing
Two formatting laws for cards: leave a blank line after every field:: line — without it, the fields run together as one paragraph on the rendered page — and write every member, circle, and group as a [[wikilink]], so all the cards interlink and the whole Commons becomes internavigable.
The two lines of lineage: the flame:: line records who first passed you the flame — a single point, written once, never changed. From these lines alone, the whole family tree of the Game can be traced, forever: perhaps the most important metric in the Game. The sponsor:: line is living — Sponsorship may shift by either party at any time. The flame is history; the sponsor is companionship.
How cards are made, for now: send word through any door on Reaching Us — your name as you wish to stand, your place as coarse as you like, who first passed you the flame, and your season — and the stewards will tend your card onto The Gameboard. Contact details are never published; the wiki is public, and only what belongs in the open stands in the open. Self-serve tending will come as the Board matures.
