Archive
The Procession. Preserved with provenance.
What This Is
The Archive holds wiki content that is no longer canonical but is preserved for its historical and procession value. It is the canonical home for material that has been:
- Folded into a canonical Volume of The LIØNSBERG Sacred Codex, with its substance now living in canonical form elsewhere
- Superseded by a more mature articulation
- Retired from active canon (where its content is fully metabolized into the Codex or the Living Library)
The Archive is not the trash. It is the record of the procession — the work that brought the present canonical body of work into being, honored as part of the lineage rather than erased.
Discipline
When material moves into the Archive:
- Verify the canonical destination — the content's essential substance must live somewhere in the canonical body (a Codex Volume, a Living Library entry, or canonical Cards). Without that, archival is loss, not preservation.
- Preserve provenance — each archived item retains a brief note of when it was archived, what superseded it, and where its substance now lives.
- Move rather than delete — the file is moved here, not deleted, so the git history and the wiki itself preserve the lineage.
- Update inbound references — wiki links that previously pointed to the archived item should be updated to point to its canonical destination, with the archived version reachable as the procession reference.
Each archived item is held under a brief disposition note explaining what was archived, when, and why.
Index of Archived Material
(Populated as material is processed and archived. Each entry: name · date archived · canonical destination · brief note.)
- LIØNSBERG Manifesto (2023.10.10) (Archived 2026-05-20) — Archived 2026-05-20. Canonical destination: the Wiki Homepage is the current canonical manifesto; the journey through Welcome to LIØNSBERG · The LIØNSBERG Experience · The Great Game of LIØNSBERG · the rest of the Codex carries the manifesto's promise into operational practice. Note: a 7,186-byte 2023 articulation of the LIØNSBERG Manifesto. Superseded by the README's stronger Golden Seed framing. Preserved as procession.
- LIØNSBERG Summary (Archived 2026-05-20) — Archived 2026-05-20. Canonical destination: LIØNSBERG Summary (the canonical pointer stub at the root of LIØNSBERG Core Documents) lists the current entry points — README · Welcome to LIØNSBERG · The LIØNSBERG Sacred Codex · The LIØNSBERG Experience · LIØNSBERG Wiki Books. Note: a 38-line curated map listing 15 documents with one-sentence orientations, created in an earlier era of the wiki when no single canonical entry point existed. The function it served — "give me the lay of the land in 15 links" — is now carried by the canonical entry points above. Preserved as procession.
What Does NOT Go Here
- Currently canonical material — anything actively part of the Codex, the Living Library, or active Card-extraction. That material lives in its canonical location.
- Material not yet processed — wiki books and pages whose disposition has not yet been discerned remain in their current location until Phase 3.B.2 processes them.
- Working drafts in active development — drafts under active refinement remain in their canonical location, marked as Work In Progress.
- The wider wiki body of writing — Above The Chaos essays, books in progress, the broader corpus — these remain in their wiki book folders unless and until a deliberate archive decision is made.
Folder created 2026-05-20 as part of The Great Spring 2026 Wiki Turn — Phase 3.B.2 (Wiki Book Discernment) and Phase 4 (Pattern Card Extraction) will populate this Archive over time. Discipline: move rather than delete; preserve provenance; honor the procession.
