The Platform

The Platform is the digital backbone of the New Civilization: the continuously improving interface, resting on a continuously improving interoperable technology stack, through which The Movement becomes visible to itself.

Its work is threefold:

• Visibility. Self-Governing, Self-Sustaining, and Self-Replicating people, Cells, and Quests made visible to one another — so that anyone can find their kin, every Cell can find its neighbors, and the whole Body can see how it is doing at any moment.
• Provision. Equal access, for every person who accepts The Invitation, to the pathway of lifelong learning, wellbeing, and development, and to the tools, solutions, services, and support of The Commons — delivered just in time, in response to the Quest at hand.
• Flow. The connective tissue for Ecosystemic Flows — offers and requests, resources and stories, commitments made and kept — moving between the diverse parts of The Body without passing through any controlling center.

Its laws are the laws of everything in the New: interoperable (each functional system replaceable as technology transforms — data architecture and human culture are the constants); decentralized (no master store; the whole world downloadable and regenerable by any Cell); and never required — the Platform makes the Way faster and wiser, but the Game is played complete with paper, voice, and sky. If the grid goes down, the Movement does not.
