Time-Energy Accounting

Time-Energy Accounting is the accounting of the New Civilization: the measurement of Value in the true currencies — Time and Energy — relative to The Goal, rather than in tokens of scarcity relative to profit.

The Universe already keeps these books. Energy enters Earth from the Sun as pure income; life receives it, stores it, circulates it, and builds ever more capable order with it — an eternally regenerative economy running for billions of years without a unit of currency or an hour of debt. Time-Energy Accounting is the conscious adoption of the Universe's own method: accounting comprehensively for the flows of time and energy through the Human System, and measuring every activity by one question — does this create Value toward The Goal, or does it create Waste?

Held against this measure, the old books invert:

• Vast portions of what the Old World counts as productive "earning a living" are revealed as Waste — time and energy spent exploiting one another and Creation, with sixty to eighty percent or more of human effort producing nothing that serves life.
• Much of what the old books ignore — raising children, tending soil, healing neighbors, keeping the Commons — is revealed as the primary Value Creation of the species.
• Every human being's time and energy are recognized as real wealth from the start: to each, an equal baseline share of the income the Universe freely gives.

Time-Energy Accounting is not a distant utopia; it is a progressive transition. It begins wherever a Cell measures its Seasonal Quests by throughput of The Goal rather than by revenue, and wherever a Commons keeps open books of flow rather than ledgers of possession. As it matures — joined to the conversion of our high technology FROM Weaponry TO Livingry and to abundance shared through Centers of Distribution — the notion of "money" itself is rendered progressively obsolete, completing the passage from scarcity-by-design to sufficiency-for-all.
