Seasonal Quests
A Seasonal Quest is the body of real work a Cell takes up for one turning of The Seasonal Cycle — chosen at the Equinox or Solstice, walked week by week, and completed (or honestly accounted) before the season turns again.
The Quest is how the Great Game touches the ground. Vision without a Quest is a wish; a Cell without a Quest is a discussion group. Every Seasonal Quest is:
- Chosen, not assigned. At each turning, after OmniSpection — reading the whole field, the Stories, the needs — the Cell chooses its own Quest from the work of the 12 Pillars and the needs of its own place. No center hands out work.
- Specific, measurable, and bounded. One season. A clear picture of done. A simple one-page plan: what we will do, who commits to what, what resources it needs and where they come from.
- Promised and kept. The Cell's weekly rhythm runs the oldest engine of accomplishment there is: say what you will do; do what you said; learn from the gap. Commitments spoken aloud, reviewed honestly, the misses mined for wisdom without blame.
- Real. A Quest makes life measurably more like Heaven somewhere — food, water, shelter, wellness, peace, learning, mutual aid, beauty, the mending of some broken thing. If no one's life is touched, it was a meeting, not a Quest.
- Told. Every Quest ends in the fourth move: Share Your Stories — the proof, the fuel, and the trace by which other Cells find their way.
At maturity, the Quests are also the economy: Cells directing their own resources — and the flows of the LIØNSBERG Ecclesia — through the Quests they value is how provision reaches the work without ever passing through a center. (33. Resourcing the Transformation)
Seasonal Quests were earlier called Quarterly Quests; the work is the same, but the Movement keeps The LIØNSBERG Calendar — seasons, not quarters.
