Attention
Attention is consciousness, allocated — the act by which a being chooses what part of Reality to receive.
Together with Time and Energy, Attention forms the true currency of a life: each Sovereign holds the right and responsibility to allocate their daily flow of all three, and what a life becomes is largely the sum of where they were spent. Of the three, Attention is the most intimate — Time passes and Energy ebbs regardless, but Attention is aimed, moment by moment, by the one who holds it. It is the first sovereign act.
What we attend to, we become. Attention is the tuning hand of Attunement: whatever receives it draws our Frequency toward itself, feeds on it, and grows in us. This is why the Old World's engines are built to harvest it — captured Attention is captured becoming — and why guarding and aiming one's Attention is among the first disciplines of Sovereignty (Focused Attention As Discipline).
Attention is also the gate of Perception: almost nothing enters the Map of Reality that was not first attended to. A being who cannot hold Attention cannot learn, cannot love well, cannot pray, and cannot keep a promise — every deeper capacity rests on this one. The practice runs from waking up and paying attention, through the trained focus that survives noise, to the full presence that is Attention given whole to what is before us — which is one of the purest forms Love takes.
Spend it as the treasure it is: deliberately, on what is worthy, with regular accounting of where it actually went.
