Member Onboarding Worksheet
Your own small charter. Completable in an afternoon — and the day you sign it, you hold a voice in your Company and a stake in the whole.
When a person joins a Community Company, they are not filling out an HR form. They are constituting themselves as a sovereign participant. This worksheet walks a newcomer through it gently. Each field gives a Prompt, a Default you can keep if you have nothing truer, and an Example. Companion to Step 4 — Learning to Play The New Game.
How to use this. Fill it in with a guide or your Circle beside you, not alone at a desk. Keep it short and honest. You will revise it as you grow — that is expected.
A. My Driver — why I am here, this season
- Prompt: What in your community, or in you, will not let you rest — and what do you therefore want to help bring into being?
- Default: I am here to help my community become a place where all of life can flourish, and to grow into who I am meant to be while doing it.
- Example: ‹ ›
B. What I Stand For — my principles
- Prompt: Three or four commitments about how you will show up, that others can hold you to.
- Default: Love ØNE. Love one another. Love all. (The Three Supreme Agreements.)
- Example: ‹ ›
C. What I Bring — gifts and commitment
- Prompt: What gifts, skills, or resources do you bring? How much time and energy can you honestly give this season?
- Default: My presence, my willingness, and ‹X hours› a week to start.
- Example: ‹ ›
D. How I Want to Be Related To — and how I hold conflict
- Prompt: How do you do your best work with others? When there is friction between you and another member, what do you ask of them and of yourself?
- Default: Speak to me directly and early. I will do the same. We take it to a third only if the two of us cannot resolve it.
- Example: ‹ ›
E. My Rhythm — practices I will keep
- Prompt: What regular practice will keep you grounded and connected — daily and weekly?
- Default: A few minutes of the Daily Way each morning, and my Circle's weekly gathering.
- Example: ‹ ›
F. My Stake and My Voice — what joining gives me
Read this; it is the heart of what membership means here.
The day you sign this, you are not only joining a local group. You receive one voice in your Community Company — and, through it, a stake and a voice in LIØNSBERG as a whole. You share in the Commons that lifetimes of others have already built, and you help shape where the whole body goes next. You did not buy this, and no one can take it from you. You hold it because you joined.
- My local Company: ‹its name›
- I understand that my voice and stake reach the wider Whole from day one: ☐
G. Free to Enter, Free to Leave
Your entry is by your own free consent, and your exit is free at any time. What you have honestly given is never clawed back. No one is bound here except by what they have freely agreed.
- I enter freely: ☐

I am one of the Ones of the ØNE. From that ground, I take my place at the table.
To fill in this small charter is to practice, in miniature, the whole Way: that each soul is sovereign, that belonging is freely chosen, that the door stays open in both directions, and that the smallest cell shares in the life of the Whole.
