Play — Run the Weekly Turn
The Weekly Turn · a card of The LIØNSBERG Playbook
When every week, same time. An hour or two; consistency matters more than length — the rhythm, kept, is the Game. One Play, composed of eight movements:
Arrive and Open — Land together: a few breaths, a short silence, a word of intention. Remember who you are and why you play. Two minutes of real arrival beats twenty of drift.
Check In — A minute or two each: where am I, how am I arriving? No fixing, no commentary — witnessing only. This is how the Circle learns its weather.
Learn Together — A short shared nourishment: a passage from the Story, a Play, a question worth holding. Ten minutes; rotate who brings it.
Weave the Dialogue — When something real needs thinking together. Begin from we do not know. Speak from lived experience, when moved. Listen for resonance, not rebuttal. Build with yes, and. Own your triggers — negative emotion is often a gift naming something that longs to heal.
Coordinate the Quest — The working middle, thirty to forty minutes: What was done? What is blocked? What is needed? What are the Wise Right Next Steps? → Template For Project · LIØNSBERG Issue Tracker
Make Commitments — Each member names one specific, doable commitment for the week: say what you will do. Next week: tell what you did; learn from the difference. (To forge: Commitment Tracker — until then, the turns:: line on your Quest card serves.)
Take the Turn on the Board — Two minutes before closing: a few lines from your Circle to the Whole — did / will / learned, plus needs and offers — posted with Template For Weekly Turn Post through the one weekly door — Update the Board — and kept on your Quest card for The Gameboard. The heartbeat of the Superorganism: skip it, and the body cannot feel you.
Harvest and Close — What are we learning? One appreciation or one improvement each. Gratitude round. A closing word. End on time — trust is built at the edges.
These movements are proto-Patterns: the same elements recur across many Plays — the First Gathering, the Weekly Turn, the Turning. As they prove themselves in play, they will be articulated into The LIØNSBERG Pattern Language as its operational Patterns.
