The LIØNSBERG Toolkit

The toolshed of The Great Game — real instruments in hand today, and a forge for what is still being commissioned.

A resident of The LIØNSBERG Workshop: the shed is useful now, and the collection unfolds and continuously improves as the Game is played.

The Instruments and the Music

The LIØNSBERG Pattern Language holds the notes. The LIØNSBERG Playbook composes the riffs — the Plays a Circle runs when an operational moment calls. The Toolkit is the rack of instruments: the templates, trackers, and protocols you actually hold in your hands while a Play is running. When a Play says forge your agreements or make a proposal or see the whole from above, the Tool is what you pick up.

And the Tools are how the Way is actually learned. People do not learn Patterns by reading them; they learn by doing the thing with a well-made instrument in hand — the way music is learned by playing, not by theory — until the Pattern lives in the body and the instrument becomes a companion rather than a crutch. This is the design criterion of the whole shed, and the standard for everything in the Forge: an instrument is well-forged when using it teaches the Wise Right embodiment of its Pattern and Play.

The Forge — what remains to be built

— the Armory of the Awakening —

One tool, every scale. The instruments of LIØNSBERG are universal — holofractal by design. We do not build a personal version, a group version, a community version: we build each instrument once, so the same tool serves a soul, a Circle, a Community, and a world.

What follows is what remains to be built to fulfill the Toolkit's original vision — every commission derived from the General Needs register, the anticipated needs of any body, so each is specific enough to actually forge. The Builder's answer stands: perhaps you could help build them. When an instrument is forged and proven in real play, it moves to the Workbench.

  • Welcome & Onboarding Checklist — receiving a new member after the sealing (need 2)

  • Graceful Release Protocol — honoring a member's leaving; no one involuntarily held (need 2)

  • Template For Proposals — bringing a proposal fit for consent (need 5)

  • Template For Roles — defining and rotating roles with clarity and lightness (need 6)

  • Communications Setup Guide — choosing and tending the body's channel between gatherings (need 8)

  • Pledge Form — making and updating The Pledge, cycle by cycle; may grow into a season-by-season crowdfunding of the commons (need 9)

  • Resource Flow Ledger — Time, Energy, Attention, and treasure, visible and flowing; feeds the Score's Value created (need 9)

  • Seasonal Quest Starter Kit — prompts and patterns for choosing and shaping a season's Quest (need 10)

  • Commitment Tracker — the said-and-did ledger, with Percent Commitments Kept; until it exists, the turns:: line on your Quest card serves (need 12)

  • Crisis Navigation Protocol — when breakage exceeds the body's own capacity (need 15)

  • Circle & Member Health Check — where does this body stand, and what wants to grow next (need 16)

  • Safety & Privacy Guide — consent-before-visibility; protecting members in a watching world (need 17)

  • Federation Starter Guide — the first Circle-of-Circles (need 18)

  • Story Crafting Guide — telling Stories that carry: witness, not marketing (need 20)

  • Book of Celebrations & Rituals — openings, closings, blessings, turnings (need 21)

  • Circle Memory Guide — keeping the body's plain-text memory (need 22)

  • The Log Set — decision · issue · guidance · submittal · correspondence templates, one set for every body (need 22, the PM basics of the PDG)

  • The Lookahead & Constraint Log — seeing the work coming and making it ready: no task begins before its constraints clear (need 11, the lean make-ready discipline)

  • Sovereign's Journal — the personal companion: small enough to carry, personal enough to write in (need 23)

  • Capacity Practice Library — practices that grow creativity, communication, collaboration, and craft (need 23)

  • Regenerative Living Instruments — provisioning food, energy, shelter, health, and land the regenerative way (need 24)

  • Strategy Map — the body's multi-season way toward The Goal (need 25)

  • Throughput & Impact Measures — measuring what matters, beyond the Score (need 26)

  • Outreach & Orientation Kit — public gatherings, events, and orientation sessions; its seed already exists in The Great Game — Orientation Season 1 (need 27)

  • Advocacy & Systemic Change Kit — moving policy and structures toward The Goal (need 28)

And the deeper universal instruments that hold the whole kit together:

  • The Universal Assessment — seeing honestly where any body stands and what wants to grow next; the Circle & Member Health Check is its first specific instance
  • The System-of-Systems Lens — seeing any body as a living system of systems
  • The Six Step Process — the universal transformation sequence any body can walk
  • The Transformation Handbook — one universal handbook, alive at every scale
  • The Adaptation Guide — carrying the instruments faithfully across contexts and cultures
  • Training, mentoring, and support pathways — so no Quest walks alone

If you need a Tool or a Solution to a problem or challenge you are facing, reach out and ask (Reaching Us) — one of Us likely will be able to help. And when you forge a tool that serves your Circle well, bring a copy of it back to the shed for others to use: every builder is welcome in the Workshop.
