Template For Values Pattern Language

(For Continuous Inspiration and Improvement — held as a Current Best Practice)

Each page in the Total Nested Holarchy of Values grows toward the same living pattern, so that the System of Values becomes not a list of nouns but a practicable field of orientations (The Living Gradient). Exemplars: Truth · Love · Stewardship.

Each Value page should grow to include:

  1. Essence — the name, a concise definition, and a quote or aphorism that captures the note the Value sounds. The name is a Word Tool; the Value is a facet of the ultimately ineffable Meta Value.
  2. As Lived — the Value as a verb: what practicing it actually looks and feels like, in the body, in a day, in a life. Its Frequency — what a person or place sounding this Value is like to be near.
  3. Its Ideal — the perfection at the center of this Category, held as north star, never as judge (Ideal); how this facet reflects ØNE.
  4. Its Gradient — the continuous band from Inversion (the Value reversed into its parasitic opposite) through Distortion and absence to presence and fullness; where its neighboring and interwoven Values stand (The Living Gradient).
  5. Its Distortions — including the subtlest counterfeit: the Value worshipped or weaponized — truth without love, justice without mercy, loyalty against conscience — which is how good words are conscripted by the Old World.
  6. Practices — the concrete moves of Attunement by which a Sovereign, a Circle, and a community move one degree toward the Ideal; links to relevant Patterns and Plays.
  7. Stories & Voices — narratives, exemplars, quotes, and community contributions that let the Value be felt, not merely defined.
  8. Related — interwoven Values, Patterns, and pages.

Using this pattern across the Total Nested Holarchy of Values turns the Book from a vocabulary into an instrument of practice: every page answering not only what is this Value? but where do I stand on it, and how do I move?
