Ongoing Mutual Consent

Consent is not an event; it is a living state.

Mutual Consent founds every association in LIØNSBERG: all belonging is voluntary, agreed by both the participant and the body. Ongoing Mutual Consent adds the dimension of time: consent once given is never assumed thereafter. It lives only while both parties continue to renew it, and either may withdraw it at any time, for any reason or none, without stigma.

In practice: agreements are revisited at every seasonal turning; The Pledge is freshly chosen each cycle; Sponsorship holds by ongoing mutual consent; silence is never consent; and a past yes never obligates a future yes. Freshly chosen beats silently assumed — that is what keeps every bond in the Body clean.
