Objects

Objects are the physical or metaphysical Things we perceive as separate from our Self — the discrete forms we encounter as we explore the wonders of our universe. From the moment we incarnate into form, the perception of objects is how a finite being begins to make contact with what is: this tree, this star, this idea, this other.

Within Ultimate Reality, the existence of discrete objects is a product of the limited perception of the observer — an emergent appearance arising from more fundamental underlying physics and metaphysics. In the deepest view, all objects are aspects of ØNE, and their separateness is provisional and perceptual.

And yet the perception, identification, and Categorization of objects remains necessary. It is how information is gathered, issues are identified and solved, and progress is made towards The Goal. The wisdom is to hold both truths at once: to work skillfully with objects, while remembering that the divisions between them are drawn by the map, not by the ultimate underlying territory.
